Blue Crane Mural at the International Crane Foundation, Baraboo, Wisconsin USA

This expansive, 1600 sq. ft. Trompe l'œil mural, was painted in the spring and summer of 2009 at the ICF campus in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Realistic imagery was needed to create the illusion of a larger, three-dimensional space.  For the Blue Crane exhibit, the impressionistic style of a South African landscape was created to add depth to the exhibit and to add an illusion of a far-sweeping valley in the distance.
